One lateral move
And I'm in it.
I can now get
From any emotion
To tears
in 5 seconds or less.
The sadness has come this close
That I can reach out
And dip my toe in it.
What started as an empty basin
Has rapidly swelled
From a distant puddle
To a pond the size of a lake
