Freedom of a death sentence May 24, 2015, 12:28p - Poetry
You are alone
With your sentence
Though you wish to not be
You dare not
Inflict your fate on others.
For in your loss of loneliness
Would lie an expansion of pain
Far too great
So alone is your fate alone.
"Damned if you do,
and damned if you don't"
You are cornered
But the corner
Is not a corner
For you see an opening
That you can squeeze through
A kind of freedom that only your fate provides
Albeit with continuous emotional torture.
So you retreat
Through your hole
To your freedom
In isolation.
