 * use dependence/consumerism against the govt?
 * it's a democracy of the rich -> but people can become rich, though this is happening at a negative rate since the 70s
 * war is economically viable and sustainable; peace isn't. is there some way to make peace economically viable?
 * tell people to do the things they want to do
 * emails to the press ala aclu?
 * do not buy products that make the rich richer and the poor poorer
 * if people feel it, they feel it. you can do things to make the path to action easier, but if they are aware of the wrong and it touches them, they will do right no matter what the inconvenience.

War is economically viable and sustainable because it employs large numbers of workers, serves economic interests (e.g. acquiring oil in Iraq), and frequently fulfills nationalistic desires (e.g. civil war).

Peace, on the other hand, does not create nearly as many jobs and, though it is desired by many, may not be as desirable of a solution as violence is.
